The club decided to convert their synthetic turf playing surface into a natural grass surface. Due to the Dutch Football Association regulations this implicated that the club had to re-activate it's former undersoil heating system. SPS was awarded the contract to review the quality of the existing pitch pipes matrix and to alter the main feed and return pipes to the new heating installation. In close cooperation with the club we have implemented our SPS efficient heating strategy software to control the system based on weather forecast rather than just a switch on/off button. Using the SPS predictive software model generates a saving up to 40% on the club's annual energy consumption for undersoil heating.
