In the summer break window of 2022, SPS was awarded the contract to install a complete new undersoil heating system in iconic stadium Het Kasteel, home of Sparta Rotterdam.
The construction formed part of the playing surface conversion from synthetic turf to hybrid turf.
The project was executed under very tight timelines and completed on time.
In 2023 a new plant room installation will be added whereby our SPS Efficient Heating Strategy software is included in the control system.
1. Prefabrication of 220 meter of HDPE divider pipe with 25mm stubs at 500mm centers;
2. Installation of main feed and return pipework to create 2no heated sections. All pipework butt-fused or electro-fused through our own certified welding crew;
3. Installation of 32 kilometer of lateral heating pipes and connected into clickrails at 250mm centers;
4. Connect 440 no lateral pipes to the divider pipes via 880 no electrofuse elbows;
5. All pipework is fused and strictly no screw on couplers are used. We insist in delivering a high quality product!
