Project Description

SPS was awarded the contract for the conversion of the first team training pitch to a HYBRIGRASS playing surface. The project is the first step to complete redevelopment of the Dinamo Zagreb Training Centre next to the famous Maksimir Stadium. The project is executed in close cooperation with specialist sports field contractor Maxmar Grupa from Croatia.

Scope of works

1. Excavation of the former training pitch and establish new formation levels;

2. Installation of new drainage system and storm water discharge connection;

3. Installation of a complete new Rainbird automatic irrigation system by local specialist In-Aqua;

4. Complete new pitch profile construction comprising of a gravel raft, blinding layer and sand lower rootzone layer;

5. Amelioration of high quality peat from Germany into the rootzone layer;

6. Soil retaining structure and perimeter drainage channel installation;

7. Installation of SPS HYBRIGRASS hybrid turf system.
