• Field pipe matrix
  The field pipe matrix is installed by SPS own installation team and equipment. In existing fields the lateral heating pipes (typically ø25mm poly-ethylene) are pulled through the soil profile with a tractor mounted mole plough device. Our mole plough equipment is fitted with automatic level control function based on GPS technology. Alternatively, in new build constructions, the lateral pipes are laid out over subbase and pipe spacings are fixed by special mounting rails.
  
  All main feed and return pipes as well as the connection of the lateral to the main pipes are either butt fused or electro-fused to ensure a tight and solid connection. The main divider pipes are prefabricated via poly-fusion technology at our own warehouse facility in order to guarantee on-time delivery to our projects.
  
  Our trained installation crews hold all certificates for using poly-ethylene welding equipment. All welding and installation equipment is owned by Sports Pitch Systems and we do not use subcontractors for our installations.
• Plant room equipment
  Sports Pitch Systems provides the complete plant room equipment on a turn key basis. The delivery, comprising of the full range from heat exchanger to the field pipe matrix, is guaranteed by SPS and laid out using the latest and most efficient technology.
  
  The heating system design and more specific the capacities of the heat exchanger and circulation pumps differ per location. The heat source on the primary side of the system dictates the layout of the heat exchanger. Typically, more exchanger plates are required when the maximum temperature entering the heat exchanger is relatively low.
  
  Our plant room equipment is pre-fabricated on skids and completely built and tested at our warehouse prior to transport to the stadium. All the steel pipework is galvanised inside and outside to avoids corrosion whilst extending the life expectancy of pumps and valves. The components in the system are class A brands, taking into account the ease of future servicing by local specialists.
• Safe up to 40% on your energy bill!
  Sports Pitch Systems and renowned research institutes have developed a computer aided simulation model to predict the most energy efficient heating strategy. A saving up to 40% of the energy consumption can be generated by adopting this “efficient heating strategy”. The computer model is running on predicted weather data generated by a local meteorological station. By acting on weather forecast rather than running the system solely on soil temperature data, it is proven that our strategy is much more efficient.
